The REED R2170 steps up to a 320x240 (76,800-pixel) infrared sensor for sharper thermal detail than REED's entry-level imagers, displayed on a larger 3.5 in color IPS screen. It offers four viewing modes (thermal, visible, picture-in-picture, and fusion) so a technician can overlay a thermal reading onto a normal photo for clearer documentation, plus a 9Hz refresh rate and 7 selectable color palettes. Its IP54, 2-meter-drop-tested housing and rechargeable Li-ion battery (roughly 3.5 hours per charge) target more demanding industrial and electrical-inspection use than the R2165.
