This is the factory replacement microphone-and-clip assembly for the REED R8085 noise dosimeter, built around the same 0.5 in (12.7mm) electret condenser capsule used in the original unit. It swaps in when a dosimeter's mic wears out or is damaged, restoring accurate sound pickup without replacing the whole instrument, and mounts back onto the wearer's collar with the same integrated clip.
