Empowering the South Rift: A Recap of Our RTK and CORS Training in Bomet

On 17th October 2025, we took this mission to the heart of the South Rift, hosting a comprehensive Free Training and Demonstration at The Will’s Hotel in Bomet.

Bridging the Technological Gap

The geospatial landscape is evolving rapidly with the integration of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Stations). However, access to hands-on training remains a challenge for many professionals. Our Bomet workshop was specifically designed to bridge this gap, attracting a diverse group of land surveyors, engineers, and GIS specialists eager to modernize their workflows.

• CORS Network Integration: A deep dive into the Muya CORS network, demonstrating how surveyors can achieve millimeter-level accuracy without the need for a local base station.

• RTK Configuration & Field Demos: Participants moved from the classroom to the field, getting hands-on experience configuring RTK systems and testing real-time corrections in a live environment.

• Equipment Exhibition: A showcase of our latest precision instruments, from GNSS receivers to specialized engineering tools available for sale and hire.
