Coastal Surveyors Gather in Kilifi for CORS Training

Measurement Systems Ltd brought CORS training to the coast with a session in Kilifi, introducing local surveyors to real-time GNSS positioning through the Muya CORS network. The training focused on practical rover configuration and the accuracy gains available to coastal survey teams working on land, marine-boundary, and infrastructure projects.

About the event

Coastal surveyors gathered in Kilifi on 19 May 2022 for a CORS training aimed at county and private practitioners, including staff of Kilifi County Survey, the Malindi sub-county and local firms. The session explained network RTK with GNSS rovers over the Muya CORS network, covered total stations on beacons and boundaries, and showed LIDAR and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) in the context of coastal planning and utility records.
