Bomet Surveyors Trained on CORS RTK at Willis Hotel Session

Measurement Systems Ltd hosted a CORS and GNSS training session at Willis Hotel in Bomet, taking local surveyors through the Muya CORS network's real-time correction service and practical RTK rover setup. Attendees worked through live positioning exercises and discussed how continuous reference stations are changing the pace of survey work in the South Rift.

About the event

Willis Hotel in Bomet hosted forty-four surveyors on 17 October 2025, among them staff of Surveymeter, NLC, Earthscope, water companies and the Department of Lands. GNSS rovers receiving CORS corrections were paired with total stations during the practical work, and the afternoon turned to LIDAR scanning and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) for South Rift roads and water lines.
