The REED C-383 is a handheld combustible gas leak detector with a 15-inch flexible gooseneck probe for reaching tight spaces. It uses a heated semiconductor sensor to pick up gasoline, propane, natural gas, and fuel oil, with sensitivity down to about 5 ppm and response under one second. A tricolor LED bar plus an audible alert give visual and audio warning of a leak, and the unit runs on 4 AA batteries with roughly 40 hours of continuous use.
