The REED R2165 is a handheld thermal imaging camera built around a 160x120 (19,200-pixel) infrared sensor, reading surface temperatures from 14 to 752F (-10 to 400C) with 0.05C thermal sensitivity. It shows live thermal images on a 2.8 in color TFT screen with a choice of 7 palettes, and pairs an integrated visible-light camera with an LED flashlight for inspecting dim areas. An IP65-rated, drop-tested housing and a 5000mAh rechargeable battery (about 6 hours of use) make it suited to electrical, HVAC, and building-diagnostic fieldwork, and bundled PC software lets users pull images off the camera to build reports.
