A two-piece transmitter/receiver system for tracing live and de-energized wires, cables, and metallic conductors hidden in walls, floors, ceilings, or underground down to about 2.5 meters. It runs on a 33kHz coded signal so the receiver locks onto only its matching transmitter and ignores stray building noise, and it includes adjustable sensitivity, a non-contact voltage detector, and backlit displays on both units. Useful for pinpointing cable breaks, shorts, and open circuits in radiant floor heating or buried conductors.
