The Kisumu CORS Training began with a theory session held in Quarantine Lounge Conference Hall, then a practical session held at the Municipal Works Yards.
The training was attended by private surveyors, county surveyors and interns from the National government. For the theory class we had 40 surveyors in attendance. They had come from Kisumu, Kakamega, Siaya, Busia and Kericho. The number increased during the practical training.
The surveyors where trained on Base/Rover RTK system, setting up and the basic configuration. They were also introduced to CORS technology and how to configure any RTK using CORS.
