We organized a free RTK training and demonstration in our offices in Nairobi where the training comprised of two sessions, the theoretic and field practice.
We were visited by some of our future surveyors from various institutions and private surveyors from different organization. During the training, the team was trained on the basic RTK concepts with reference to the traditional base rover setup to using of CORS technology. For the field practice, we started by base rover setup using various GNSS equipments which included: ComNav N3, ComNav N2 and Muya G6. Later we showed how to configure the receivers and use CORS stations as their base references where we also included the TokNav T10 pro receiver and the ComNav Venus network rover to get corrections from a CORS station.
Finally we did the unveiling and demonstration of the ComNav Mars Laser RTK Base Rover system, which is a new GNSS technology incorporated with laser technology for picking and setting out points in in-accessible places.
