During the free RTK and CORS training held at Emess Hotel in Nanyuki, participants were taken through comprehensive sessions on modern surveying technologies and practical field applications. The training began with an introduction to the fundamentals of GNSS, CORS networks, and RTK workflows, with emphasis on how these systems are transforming the accuracy and efficiency of land surveying and mapping. Attendees were guided through the setup and configuration of RTK systems using CORS connections, highlighting their importance in achieving high-precision results.
A variety of advanced equipment was showcased during the training. Participants had hands-on experience with the Jupiter RTK, Mars Laser RTK, Venus Laser RTK, and the Muya G6 RTK, each offering unique features suited for different surveying needs. These devices were demonstrated in real-time scenarios to show their performance in both urban and remote settings. Additionally, the P6H handheld GPS and P8H tablet were introduced as efficient tools for mobile data collection, navigation, and field mapping, greatly enhancing productivity in the field.
