The R2930 is a 90-degree right-angle version of REED's Type K surface probe, letting the sensor tip contact a flat surface or duct wall while the handle and coiled lead stay clear of the hot zone, useful for tight or awkward mounting spots such as inside pipes or behind equipment. It shares the -58 to 932F (-50 to 500C) range and sub-2-second response time of the standard surface probe, with the same yellow K-type plug. The -NIST edition includes a NIST-traceable calibration certificate for documented accuracy.
