A spring-loaded Type K thermocouple probe built to clamp directly onto pipes up to about 1.4 in (35 mm) across, so technicians can log surface temperature on refrigerant lines, hot water pipes, or HVAC ductwork without holding the sensor by hand. It reads from -40 to 392F (-40 to 200C) with roughly a 2-second response time and a 39 in (100 cm) lead ending in a standard Type K connector.
