Our team went for the CORS demonstration and training in the Kabete National Polytechnic in Nairobi where the training comprised of two sessions, the theoretic and field practice. The training involved different departments in the school namely: Architecture and spatial planning department, building technology department, quantity survey department, civil engineering department and land survey department.
During the practical training, the students and lecturers where trained on the basic concept of a base/rover setup and how to configure any RTK rover to get corrections from a CORS station and demonstration on how RTK system works. There was also a demonstration on usage of a total station and digital level machines.
