We were invited by University of Nairobi surveying club known as the Geospatial Engineering Students Association (GESA) as they were celebrating the GIS week on 15th & 16th November, 2023.
As a company, we showcased on the technological trends on modern surveying and mapping equipment including GNSS and CORS network. We explained the evolution of RTK GNSS base/rover systems to the use of CORS technology with network rover systems and the ease they have brought in data collection in real time. The students were also showed the P8 GNSS tablet that can be used in GIS data collection, integrated with CORS technology, for high accuracies.
The students and lecturers really appreciated the advancement in technology from use of base/rover setup to the use of CORS technology using a network rover.
