On the 20th and 21st of March, we attended the Global Surveyor’s Day & Pre-AGM Conference which was held at Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel in Entebbe.
As a company, we showcased on the technological trends on modern surveying and mapping equipment including GNSS and CORS network. We explained the evolution of RTK GNSS base/rover systems to the use of CORS technology with network rover systems and the ease they have brought in data collection in real time. There was also the displaying of other survey equipments and accessories that are being used such as a Total Station and Levelling equipments.
There was a brief presentation on calibration and it’s importance to survey equipments in reference to the accuracies and errors accumulated while using the equipments and a small demonstration and training on the machines on display.
