Our team planned for the CORS demonstration and training in Measurement Systems Limited offices in Nairobi where the training comprised of two sessions, the theoretic and field practice.
We were visited by students from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. During the practical training, the surveyors where trained on how to configure a base rover system and also how to connect any RTK rover (using the M9 RTK Network Rover, N3 receiver and Gintec G40 receiver) to get corrections from a CORS station and demonstration on how RTK system works. Other than GNSS systems, the students were also introduced and trained on the workings of a Total Station (TS).
